Matching wood tones in your home!

As an interior designer, creating custom furniture is an excellent way to bring a unique and personalized touch to my clients’ home decor. Not only does it allow you to showcase your own style and preferences, but it also gives you complete control over the design process and ensures that your furniture pieces are one-of-a-kind.

When it comes to matching wood tones in your home, there are a few things to keep in mind. First and foremost, you'll want to consider the existing wood finishes in your space. This could include flooring, cabinetry, molding, and any other wood elements you may have. It's important to choose a wood tone that complements and enhances these finishes rather than clashes with them.

One approach is to select a wood tone that is similar in color to the finishes you already have but has a slightly different grain or texture. This can add visual interest and depth to your space without overwhelming it with too much of one shade. Another approach is to go for a wood tone that is in the same color family but a few shades lighter or darker than the existing finishes. That will create a cohesive look while still allowing each element to stand out on its own.

For me, it’s a fun and rewarding process that allows my creativity to be expressed while connecting with woodworking specialists in love with their craft.
