10 Steps to Build an Enticing Bachelor Pad

You swept her off her feet with your sense of humor and your wit but don’t want her to run away the minute you push the door of your apartment.

Let’s get straight to it: most single men living alone are messy and have asked us for help when it comes to designing a space due to lack of time or because they don’t feel capable of doing it themselves.

If the only design you have in your space is what looks like a contemporary performance of piled clothes, we can help you give the illusion that you have your life together with a simple and tasteful interior decor.

  1. Keep the colors simple

  2. Don’t overcrowd the layout. Don’t get a piece of furniture you already know you won’t use.

  3. Don’t overdo the leather pieces: mix it with other fabrics.

  4. Create an entertaining area, not just a bedroom.

  5. You don’t want your guest to picture you standing in your kitchen eating from a cardboard box, so plan a dining area.

  6. Mix furniture brands so it doesn’t look like an Ikea showroom.

  7. Make it warm and cozy so your guest doesn’t get cold: add throws to the couch, warm covers to the bed - think of texture: fake animal skins, silk, wool, etc…

  8. Accessorize! Think of plants, hang art, paint a wall dark to create ambiance.

  9. Lighting is very important: from dimmable light in the bedroom to flattering light in the bathroom that is bright enough to see what you are doing.

  10. Organize your closets, you don't want your secrets spilling out when your date is looking for your restroom!
